The Amulet

Our latest project combines our backgrounds in jewelry making, Arduino, P2P, and open source software to create magic jewelry. From a distance it's a glowing pendant "statement piece"– on closer inspect you realize the pendant is ALIVE. Embedding in the amulet is a long range, low power, encrypted wireless communication system. Install the app on your phone and bluetooth connect to your glowing crystal. Come within a few miles of another necklace they will "discover" each other using LORA protocol. The pendant emits a glowing light to let you know someone is nearby then you can share encrypted chats with each other through the app- without internet access! In Jesus Christ beauty and truth come together. When the fam gets together we create beautiful art that is also very practical for keeping connected when you're going hiking, at a festival, going off grid, or during an emergency.
